The World of Photonics Congress is the leading international congress for optical technologies in Europe and one of the Top 3 congresses of its kind worldwide. It is held in conjunction with LASER World of PHOTONICS, the international trade fair for optical technologies including components, systems and applications, so there is an intense exchange between the scientific an industrial sectors.

Thanks to interaction between the scientific and industrial communities and the diversity of its various themes, the World of Photonics Congress it is the only event in the world that covers photonics in its entirety.
 
Topics range from the latest findings in research and development to optics, biophotonics and medical applications, measuring technology, industrial image processing and the use of lasers in manufacturing.

The program chairs of the various conferences place special emphasis on putting together a well balanced program of content elements that complement one another and meet the demands of a scientific congress on the one hand and promote contact among application-oriented attendees on the other.
